The U.S. Treasury Department wants citizens’ opinions on cryptocurrencies. This is evidenced by a new document in the National Register. It’s called “Ensuring Responsible Development of Digital Assets; A Request for Comment.”
The survey focuses on many aspects of the cryptocurrency market. Authorities are asking all consumers, investors and companies to share their comments.
The document states that the widespread adoption of digital assets could exacerbate disparities between different segments of society and create financial risks for those unfamiliar with the industry. The Ministry of Finance is asking everyone to express their views on such risks. They can submit their responses by August 8.
U.S. and crypto plans
The U.S. plans to become a leader in blockchain. When they adopt a regulatory framework, they will be the first Western country to take this step.
The introduction of the crypto market may not be happening here as quickly as local players want it to. But America is making it clear that they will allow the market to develop. They already have a package of laws about it.
